Backyard Pool Time

We got our stuff today and I filled the kiddie for JJ and the dogs. JJ enjoyed it immensely! He climbed in out, in out about 50 times! Sorry, we didn't wear any swim trunks today.

The movers are coming, the movers are coming!!!!

With my stuff tomorrow!!! Now I will be busy until forever reorganizing all of our crap! At least we will all have our own beds to sleep in, especially JJ. He needs to be in his own crib. The dogs are getting their haircut tomorrow at PetSmart. Apparently they have a "university" where they teach people how to groom animals! So in an event to save some cash the dogs are going there. It is 10 bucks cheaper a dog. That would be a $20 savings! Hopefully they don't come back with mohawks or pink hair(especially Cody). Well, I shall be busy for the next few days, I will try to get back on soon!

As of tomorrow we will be offline until Time Warner can install our cable and internet in our new house! We will be closing tomorrow at 11am!!! YAY for us! Talk to you in 9 days!

Update on the house

So, everything is supposedly in order with the loan and we are supposed to close late Monday or early Tuesday. I'll believe it when I see it. The BIG bummer is the moving company says they can't deliver our goods until the 28th of June! So we have to live in the house with nothing until then. If we didn't have the dogs we would probably stay here in TLF, but they need to get 0ut of the kennel. I think Libby has gone to the doggy mental institution by now and Cody needs lots of extra love when we pick them up.
We still need to talk to the contractor as the driveway was cracked so the guy who poored the concrete put some sort of plaster coating over the driveway, which looked really sloppy. The crack went through that so they replaced the portion of the drive that was cracked. Except now the pillar in the front of the house has a gap under it where the old drive was and the new is about an inch lower so it looks ridiculous. Not to mention that half the drive is now brand new and the other half with the stupid plaster layer on it. Hopefully they will fix all of this for us. The plaster coating will chip and peel off over time. The fun of buying a new house!!! We are excited to close though. It has been way too long for this process!

John's sister and her family came to town for a few days on their way to N. Carolina. We took them to the Alamo and the Riverwalk on Wednesday and SeaWorld yesterday. We fed the dolphins, watched the sea lion show, and the Shamu/killer whale show. I had to take a picture of Wesley's crazy hair!

Venting...frustrated...(big sigh)

I knew buying a house would mean dealing with a lot crap, but seriously, this much?
KB home salesman: Sure, we should be able to close by the 9th.
Me: Ok, sounds great.
KB home salesman: Um, we need you to fill out more forms. (ok, well really john, but you get the gist).
Me: We already did them.
Me: When are we having a walk through, cuz that kind of needs to be done before we close.
KB home salesman: Mumble mumble
Our Realtor: (kicks some butt) Walk through is on the 7th
ME: Is the VA appraisal done yet?
KB home salesman: No (it's now the 9th)
Me: Are you kidding me? (weren't we suppose to close today?)
Realtor: The VA appraisal is finally done (it's the 12th)
KB home salesman: We might be able to close by Friday the 16th
ME: You told us we could close within 72 hours of the VA appraisal.
KB home salesman: Mumble mumble.

Does anyone see what I am getting at? We really need a closing to get you our house goods delivery set up.
Did I tell you I am sick of TLF yet? Oh, and the dogs are going crazy in the kennel. Not to mention we are paying $25 a day for that and another $36 to stay here. Yeah, I know we are getting BAH but we could be using that money to pay house payments and not stinking TLF bills.
Ok, enough venting. Need to go find tired child and put him to bed, oh that reminds me of another reason we need to move into the house. The baby is sleeping horribly b/c this place is a one bedroom and he hears everything. He is waking me up 2-3 times a night, which makes for cranky mommy. Good Night.

That's One Cool Dude!

So my mom bought JJ some sunglasses when we were home and he only wears them for 2 seconds at a time, but I actually was able to snap a picture of him last night!

We had the walk through on our house today to have the builders fix anything broken. We probably won't get into the houst until the 15th or 16th thanks to the ridiculous KB homes people who didn't order the VA appraisal until Monday when they should have done it last Wednesday. So we just have to sit and wait for the VA to do their thing and then we can close. Our wonderful realtor, Mark, has been very helpful in expediting this process. He is supposed to call some big wig at KB homes to see if they can help us speedy this process up! We are hoping so as John's sister is coming in town next week and we would really like to have the house by then.

We have finally made it! (well on Monday) We are stuck in TLF which isn't all that bad, but I don't have internet! It's pretty sad when you feel like your life is on hold just b/c you can't get online and check everyone else's blogs. Well, here I sit in the lobby of TLF checking this stuff while JJ pushes his stroller around! So, we are in the process of buying a nice home 15 min from here. Then I will be able to get my life back!!!! Well, he is running away, I'd better go catch him!
