On the Farm!
We got to feed and pet the baby calf whose mama wouldn't let her nurse. And JJ was all over the farm walkin' and crawlin' and ridin' tractors.

Congratulations 2Lt John Langworthy!!!
He really did! It is official! John made it through the commissioning ceremony and parade this morning without a hitch! I made it through with only a couple of tears(happy ones of course). I am so proud of him for making it through and he did it being in the top 15% of his class. They called it a Blue Chip. Maj Gaddis made it down from Grand Forks to give John his oathe and help me pin on his new gold bars!

Remind me never to go to Wallyworld in Montgomery ever again!
Tonight we decided to go to Wallyworld to get some more tapes for the video camera in preparation for tomorrow's commissioning ceremony. The parking experience was absolutely ridiculous!!! This car kept backing in and out of it's spot and we had no way of getting around them until they made up their mind. Once inside, there were lines at every register at least 4-5 people deep. People were just standing in the middle of the aisles having conversations, making out, and purely just standing there doing nothing! And my husband is too darn nice to say excuse me so we have to dodge through all the clothing racks to get around everyone! UURRRGGHhhh! Thanks for listening to me whine...
Dining Out Anyone?
This is what we looked like last night at the Dining Out, which by the way lasted 4.5 frickin' hours! Our guest speaker didn't start until 9:20, declared he would be short and ended at 10. Is that short? I don't think so! Anyway, dinner was the typical club food, which I thought would be a bit better than the club food from the ol' GF. The Grogg Bowl was quite interesting, darn I didn't take a picture for you. It was a toilet with a punch bowl inside of it. If you dared to brake any of thy rules you had to drink from the bowl, out of a glass of course. Here are two of the 19 rules:
#5 Thou shalt not leave the mess whilst convened. Military protocol overrides all calls of nature. (aka no going to the bathroom until after dinner is over!!)
#16 Thou shalt express thy approval by tapping thy spoon on the table. Clapping of thy hands will not be tolerated. (boy, that was loud)
By the way my sunburned shoulder did not appear in this picture. I apologize.

Sunburn?
Ok, so I feel like an idiot because I decided to hang out in the sun here in Montgomery, AL and I got one burnt right shoulder and no left burnt shoulder. I have to wear a fancy dress this evening. How pretty is that going to look? Well, I will have to take a picture and show you tonight. Anyway, I expected to be able to hang out by the pool my entire trip down here, BUT the weather has been really sh!##y since I got here. I haven't even been able to put on the bathing suit that doesn't really fit. Oh darn.

Tractor Ride
Hi there! JJ went for a ride on Grandpa's tractor today. He giggled the whole time and then left Grandpa a treat in his diaper! They went to the neighbor's to get horse manure for Grandma's garden. The pictures of JJ in the yellow outfit are from Aunt Dana's house. He learned So big this week. He is cutting his upper front left tooth. It's about time he got another. This will make tooth number three!
